Ballet
The disciplined dance art of ballet works proper alignment of the body, balance, strength, control, extension, and expression of movement! Pointe is for the more advanced ballet student / dancer. Ballet students at School of Dance Arts must be assessed before acquiring pointe shoes. We have several pointe students and many more working toward that goal!
Dance attire: Black leotard, ballet pink tights, pink ballet slippers. Hair must be secured up off the neck.
Jazz / Hip-Hop
The American dance art of jazz works body alignment, strength, flexibility, especially stressing sharp qualities of movement and more! Hip hop is one of the newest popular styles of jazz.
Dance attire: Any color tights or jazz pants, leotard or tight fitting shirts only, Black jazz shoes are required; hair must be secured away from face.
Tap
A rhythmic dance art! Tap techniques and steps work the body / feet as an instrument of sound and movement.
Dance attire: Any color leotard, tights or jazz pants, (t-shirts are permitted) Black tap shoes are required.
